La Caleta

La Caleta is an quiet, old fishing village in the traditional Andalusian white village style. There are very few cars in the city. Next to the village you find the old sugar factory, which processed the sugar canes grown in the nearby Guadalfe Delta. The municipality plans to renovate the factory and turn it into a museum. In La Caleta you find a bakery, a small grocery shop, a pharmacy, two bars/restaurants and a Tabac shop. Supermarkets and a large selection of shops and restaurants can be found in nearby Salobreña (10-15 min walk, 5 min by car or local bus that will take you all the way to the castle).
